IEC TC57 WG10 returned to
OMICRON in Austria

OMICRON joined the standardization efforts in early 2001, when the (back then still three) working groups 10, 11, and 12 of IEC TC57 met at the newly opened OMICRON Development Center in Austria for the first time. The 10 Years IEC 61850 event and WG10 meeting in 2005 was held at OMICRON in Austria, too.

In the same year, OMICRON released its first IEC 61850 product, the GOOSE features for the CMC test sets. The famous IEDScout followed in 2006 and from there, the IEC 61850 portfolio was always extending, finally leading to the OT security solution StationGuard, which started out to protect IEC 61850 systems in the first place.

This September, IEC TC57 WG10 returned to OMICRON in Austria once more.
Within this meeting, we also celebrated 30 Years IEC 61850. It was a great gathering, where the veterans met the next generation who will carry IEC 61850 into the future.
